  • Does your page have the relevant information to attract prospective customers?
  • Is your page interactive enough to retain your customer’s attention?
  • Are your services accessible through your business page?

If you are able to answer at least three of the above questions positively, then it’s okay to say you are on the right track. However, if you can’t confidently answer these questions, then you need to fix things fast! So here’s a list of things you can do to get these off your checklist and use your business page on Facebook the right way: Continue reading

When promoting your business on social media, it is important to connect with your audience. As I have said in earlier posts on this blog, your business assumes a much more relatable appeal to users when you connect with your crowd. Avoid putting up posts aimed solely at only advertising and literally shoving your business in people’s faces, try to entertain while at it! Continue reading

New Facebook Reactions: What It Means For your Business

Like

Yesterday, Facebook did something most small business owners would be happy and, well, sad about. You know how you could never really tell if people really really liked your services or posts about them, simply because all you could see was the LIKE button? Well, that has changed now. Facebook has switched things up; you can now see real time reactions to posts that you put up on the app. Continue reading

HASHTAGS, SOCIAL INTERACTION AND STAYING RELEVANT ONLINE

hash

Hi Guys!

Today I will be writing about Hashtags and how they function across all social media platforms. I will also discuss social interaction and how you can use this to push your small business online. For those who have no idea what a “Hashtag” is, here it is – # . A hashtag is a short link preceded by the (#) sign which helps to make your social experience easier. Hashtags function the same way a link functions; once you click on a hashtag on social media, you will find other tweets/posts that share the same interests faster. Continue reading

LOGOS AND YOUR BUSINESS’S IDENTITY

My new logo

Hello!

I want to avoid making this post about Social Girl, but I just have to! So today I made my very first (sane looking) Logo for my blog. If you visit my blog daily, you might have noticed that I have been fiddling with a lot of things on my blog, fixing themes here and there. All that is part of my personal journey into making what I do much more personal. I must add here that I have had no prior training in the use of Photoshop, and this is my first time actually working on making my own Logo. Continue reading
